I'm pretty sure there's no one on here who's actively watching me anymore but I just thought I'd chuck some of my recent redraws of old pieces just for archival purposes.

This piece feels leagues different from the original piece . The concept I had in mind for the original is obviously still preserved but ho dang that's alot more detail. And I just... I surprised myself with how far I've come with understanding lighting and just how to use my program to be able to accomplish just more.
The portal looks so much better, especially since I decided to experiment with it a bunch with the little weird things Clip Studio can do in order to make affects and blurs and such.
My understanding of color and relationships between colors has improved tremendously, it's almost unfair to compare the two pieces.

What it really boils down to for me is the original is comparatively uninteresting and confusing. And, even when breaking down all of the little reasons why, it still leaves me feeling accomplished just knowing that I was able to make it make more sense and look more intriguing.
