Oh, Scanty....demons don't cry....So suck it up yo~SO WELL...I had been doing a bunch of thumbnails for PSWG fan art and this one was supposed to be one of them...It was drawn out rather small but not small enough for a thumb really...so I just went a head and finished it since it was a quick simple one. Yes, I am aware that the perspective and scale of things make zero sense.
Spoiler Warning: So in the last ep of Panty and Stocking, Scanty ends up getting her face burned by Panty's underwear (man, it's weird explaining this) and the burn mark stays for the rest of the ep. I heard that Gainax was thinking about having it be a permanent scar if/when they make the second season. :'D It would suck to have a scar on your face that's in the shape of underwear XD...so yeah, I just drew this while thinking of that..
Drew this in the show's style, it's actually really fun to draw in that style too~

Thumbnailing ideas is always good! Also with whatever scene you have in mind try to think of a it background to go with since a background does tell a lot sometimes. The one I did for this piece is kind of simple, I could of pushed it more by having a light above her and making the bathroom look more dirty and uncomfortable to look at to fit the mood even more. Backgrounds can be a pain to draw since usually they require knowledge of perspective, placement and scale, but they are pretty effective.
But yeah...Yay for addicting shows!

I like the concept of this picture - it's very novel, not something that I've seen at all in the massive flood of fanart that PSG has inspired - and you've given it some subtle emotion too, with her hunched posture really helping to emphasise her anxiety, and perhaps creepingly insidious sense of building dread.
I'm reminded of Hans Landa being scarred at the end of Inglorius Basterds - for Scanty, as someone who lives by and publicly extols the restraint of the ruuuurrruuus, the wanton suggestions of having knickers branded into her would indeed be something to despair.
