alright...so here's a tiny piece of an 8x11 page i scanned. first scan..and the thing was TOO BIG..so, here I cut out a piece. I guess i'll send it in in sections. This is basically to show my penmanship to those who see it here at DeviantArt, so I might be able to measure up with some of you here. Anyhow..I'm tired of typing..so, here it is.[edit: I hadn't realize how terrible my scanner was back in the day. or my editing skills. this was way back when there was no scraps section... there's like 10 sections over all...ok, maybe a little more.]

Wow. Nice job. I love the details. About scanning the thing, you can scan it in parts and then use photo editing program and join all the pieces together
Then you can resize it to your heart's desire.
