Bara means homoerotic, contrary to the popular belief that it just means "hot men", it originates from the first Japanese gay magazine called "Rose tribe" or "barazoku" where the slang "bara" came from. The magazine came out during WWII, because of this "Bara" became a Japanese slang for "gay men" Post-WWII, and became the term used for something "made by gay men, for gay men". But w/e I'm probably just coming off as an asshole that's turning you and whoever is reading this off, but I just thought I'd let you know just in case you or other people didn't want to misuse the term or were wondering if you were using it correctly. But if you're a straight, bi or Pan girl, use the term anyways if you want, I don't really care.
