Marcos actually learned how to fight using a long chain to increase greatly his range, but just in practices. the why is obvious: a bigger enemy simply could grab the chain eventually and attract the fox to him/her, privating Marcos of his best weapon, the agility and movement of freedom. But depite that, obviouslly he knows that and actually uses to his benefict, knowing what his rival will try to do and simply letting go the chain in the last moment, dodge the rival attack and use the cinetic energy of the pull to apply lot stronger hits when he "arrives"
