Description
Plague Dragons.*The Host. A type of feral black dragon well-known for it's disease spreading capabilities. They commonly fall prey to lice and other parasites, which fall off their body during flight. The bloodsuckers then seek out new hosts, usually infecting humans, pets, and farm animals with any diseases the dragon might've been carrying.
*Droolius. A flightless drake with a septic bite. The bacteria housed in this dragon's saliva causes severe infection and a slow, agonizing the death. The dragon is immune, but among other creatures this bacterium is deadly and highly infectious.
*Goryx. A stealthy, flightless dragon that inhabits tropical rainforests. These bear-sized dragons were transported to Europe to be used as guard dogs for royal courts. Unbeknownst to them, they were also taking the parasitic worms that lived in the dragon's stomachs. Upon arrival, the dragons unwittingly spread their parasites throughout the country, ailing millions.
*Crapdragon. A nocturnal wyvern that eats a lot... and thus, defecates a lot. These dragons are sometimes hosts to intestinal parasites, which pass along with excrement. Farmers occasionally mistake the dung for that of other animals and use it as fertillizer for their crops- inadvertantly spreading the parasitic worms over their food supply.
*Dragonmole. A small, stout-bodied drake that burrows underground with oversized forepaws. These dragons hunt by protruding their dorsal vents above the surface and releasing a cloud of sweet-smelling gas to attract birds. These diminutive dragons are often attracted to cornfields, where they prey on crows. Unfortunately, the gas they emit is toxic and thus poisons any crop that absorbs it.
*Rhynox. A tempermental, flightless dragon from Africa. These easily agitated dragons have a voracious apetite, but despise the taste of human flesh. This is actually worse for the humans involved, however. Because they see humans as enemies rather than prey, they treat them to their defense mechanism- a repulsive, noxious gas spewed from their mouths. The poisonous fumes act like mustard gas, deteriorating the lungs and nasal passages and causing immense pain. The toxins in the gas have an extraordinary long life- a victim can pass his symptoms to unafflicted people simply by coughing or breathing around them. Clouds of the gas are even known to be swept away by the wind and plague tribes that are hundreds of miles away.
*Lambton. A limbless Wurm that enjoys dark, wet environments. They are known for their bad habit of slithering into drinking wells, which they contaminate with their toxic skin secretions.
*Gray Death. Small, dirty scavengers- the wyverian equivalent of a rat or vulture. These resiliant little dragons are immune to nearly every disease known to man, but carry everything they contract with them. Saliva, blood, excrement, breath, parasites- everything about this dragon can spread disease to an unwary human populace. They are an enormous threat, as they are naturally attracted to humans and feed off garbage.
*Pus the Magic Dragon. Bipedal land dragons descended from wyverns; their wings have devolved into vestigial, flipper-like forelimbs. This particular species is highly suceptible to certain strains of flesh eating viruses and skin infections- their skin is frequently splitting, boiling, and oozing from various health problems. Worse yet, the pus that seeps from their infections can spread the virus to other animals, including humans.
*Messenger of Death. A small, friendly dragon, held among most as being rather cute. These diminutive wyverns are very determined and have an excellent sense of direction, and were frequently used to carry messages from kingdom to kingdom. Unfortunately, they would sometimes contract contagious diseases during their flights- thus delivering more than just a message to the recepient.
