Description Broken earth beastiary 1

Species name: spinoceratops
Height: 4 meters (13 feet) at the hip
Length: 8.3 meters (27ft) long
Weight: roughly 4.5-5.9 tons

Information: spinoceratops are a rare species to come across in the Russian mammoth steppes, this is because of their low population and range they inhabit. They do not move down south because of the environment and the competition that is their, I.e the sinoceratops, their close relatives and the large predators like vastatosaurus rex or anjanath.

They roam in herds of up to 20 individuals, but unfortunately, they have herds of only 3 to 5 individuals because of their low population

Not many races hunt the spinoceratops. This is because their meat tastes TERRIBLE and have a tough texture to many races, except for one race that being werewolves. but even they don’t go for them because they are so massive and way to dangerous.

Spinoceratops are able to swim across frozen lakes or rivers that are in their way, thanks to their paddle like tail they use to propel themselves though the water, but that doesn’t mean they are at home in the water like hippos. They can only stay in freezing waters for about 6 minutes before succumbing to frost bite while their babies die after a minute of being in the water, so they have them stay on their backs while they traverse the water

They have many weapons they can use to defend themselves from predators. One of their primary defences are their massive rhino like horn at the end of their snout they use to stab into any unlucky predators. They’re second method for defensr is their shield like thrill, armed with spikes that jut forward.

There are many things they can eat to survive in the frozen tundra. Some of those things being mosses, grasses, rotting wood, mushrooms and even carrion when times are tough.

So as a whole, the spinoceratops are a endangered species. And yet they have managed to survive in this broken world we call earth.

(I hope y’all like this one, I spend lots of time on this. Have a great day everyone!)
