Debut Dreadnaugor

A mysterious meteor hits the dark side of Earth's moon. NASA detects the crash and reports it to President Kennedy.

NASA Officer: Mr. President Designation, top secret. We believe a mysterious object has crashed into the moon. We think the Russians are on to it as well.
President Kennedy: Well then you tell NASA to move heaven and earth. We need to get to the moon.
NASA Officer: We're going to attempt a manned mission. NASA said it would take five years.
President Kennedy: You get there before the Russians.

Later, the President makes an announcement to the United States.

President Kennedy: I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth.

The year is now 1969, the Apollo 11 preps for launch.

Alan: So history is in the making.
Tanana: Why is that?
Alan: Well, Earth is going to the moon.
Dr. Powell: Although there's another reason... something crashed on the dark side of the moon. You can't tell this to anyone, understand? TELL NO ONE.
Lilian: Ok.

The Apollo 11 lands.

Neil Armstrong: Houston, this is Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.

Everyone at NASA cheers, then Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin land on the surface of the moon.

Neil Armstrong: That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.

Powell and his team then interfere with the communications to ensure the secret mission.

Powell: Neil, Buzz, you are dark on the rock. Mission is a go. You have 21 minutes.

They head to the dark side of the moon and approach the meteorite, They discover a massive monster hibernating.

Buzz: Oh my God. It's some kind of giant monster.
Powell: Jesus.
Neil: Like those on Earth right?
Powell: Unsure. Looks like he's hibernating..
Alan: And if it wakes up?
Powell: Buzz, Neil, report back to me and the Atarashi when you return. You have seven minutes on your oxygen.

The astronauts eventually return to Earth.

President Nixon: Hello, Neil and Buzz. I'm talking to you by telephone from the Oval Room at the White House. And this certainly has to be the most historic telephone call ever made. I just can't tell you how proud we all are of you. For every American, this has to be the proudest day of our lives. Because of what you have done, the heavens have become a part of man's world. For one priceless moment in the whole history of man, all the people on this Earth are truly one. One in their pride for what you have done. It inspires us to redouble our efforts to bring peace and tranquility to Earth.

22 years later... Since the mysterious monster crash landed on the moon, the superspecies have been on edge.

Alan: They been like this for the past 22 years.
Hunt: Sometimes you gotta wonder, why are there such giant species?
Lilian: What are you getting at?
Hunt: We often theorized they were larger animals of a big ecosystem. But what if that's not true?
Lilian: What if the Earth is preparing for that thing on the moon?
Hunt: What makes you say that?

Lilian looks around to be sure no one is else is here.

Lilian: The Atarashi said their home planet was destroyed by a big space monster. What if that's it? And what if this monster visited our world once before?
Alan: Meaning?
Lilian: The superspecies that aren't mammals were relics of the Mesozoic period. But we need more evidence to prove my theory correct.

They go home, where they are greeted by their now teenage children. Alan gives the kids a hug.

Rosetta: Hey Dad.
Alan: How is college going?
Rosetta: Good. Biology courses are great. I’m in photography, documenting the animals in their habitats.

She shows the pictures she's taken over the summer. They showcased many animals in the woods.

Tanana: Quite impressive.
Rosetta: Thank you, Mom.

Hunt and Lilian then see their son, Andrew meditating. He has inherited Lilian’s psychic abilities.

Andrew: Hey Mom, hey Dad.
Lilian: Now you’re not putting pressure on your brain, are you?
Andrew: I'm fine.
Lilian: I'm just making sure.
Rosetta: Also you guys are still looking at the superspecies right?
Alan: Yeah.. but I’m worried. The Atarashi have been very secretive recently.

The parents leave their kids to their studies.

Lilian: The Atarashi might know this monster, but they won’t say anything. They won't even say its name. The thing about it is that it brings dread.

Meanwhile, the Atarashi send probes to study the monster at Tranquility Base.

Ren: It still sleeps.
Korso: As long as it remains asleep, Earth is safe.
Ren: If it wakes, we need to be ready... but I fear it will wake soon.
Korso: We've lost one home, and we will not lose another.

On Earth, things are stirring up as Stygimorah has destroyed his containment site and left, killing ten workers in the process.

Alan: What's up with Stygimorah? He's never been this aggressive before.
Lilian: Nor would he destroy his containment site. He knows better than that. Unless that thing on the moon is making him wild.
Hunt: The others are becoming aggressive too. As before, we have tried calming them with sedatives, but they're not working this time.
Lilian: You remember my theory on that creature on the moon?
Alan: Yeah? Wait, you suggesting?
Lilian: Yes, they know that thing on the moon is here. Perhaps the superspecies evolved to counter the monster on the moon and other threats like it.

Princess Ren contacts them.

Lilian: Yes, Your Highness?
Princess Ren: You’er feeling this right?
Lilian: Yes, although I have a feeling that monster on the moon is getting them wilded up.
Princess Ren: It's getting worse. Its waking up. Tell all ADF forces to go to maximum alert.
Lilian: We'll try.
Alan: At least we don't have to worry about Russia anymore.
Hunt: Yeah... at least that's the least of our concerns.
Lilian: The Cold War is over, but I think a new war is about to start The One that Brings Dread will start it
Alan: The One That Brings Dread?
Lilian: That's what they called it. The Atarashi still won't speak its name.
Princess Ren: Perhaps it is time we tell you the name. Keep it within the corner of your memories.

She leans into their faces and whispers the forbidden name that the Atarashi keep secret.

Princess Ren: Dreadaugor.

While meditating, Prince Korso senses the increasing activity.

Prince Korso: The unholy god awakens.

On the Moon, Dreadnaugor arises and then takes off to Earth, landing in Mexico. ADF, Atarashi, and Tyrannoids arrive to confront it. They open fire when they see it, Dreadnaugor is unaffected, doesn't even pay any attention to them, that is until they use powerful fire power. Dreadaugor's beam attack completely obliterates the ADF. Dread then turns to Stygimorah, who has just arrive. Stygimorah bleats out, but Dreadaugor lets out a monstrous roar. Stygi isn't budging despite a massive monster standing before him, the alien forms a bone sword, and strikes but Stygi jumps and headbutts him square on the head Stygi gets up and keeps fighting.

Alan: There any cases Stygimorah hasn't backed down from a fight?
Lilian: No he usually retreats, unless this battle is a personal matter. Dreadnaugor landed in the Yucutan, exactly where a meteor struck at the end of the Mesozoic.
Alan: And the point is?
Lilian: He caused the extinction of the dinosaurs!

Stygimorah keeps battling him, Venatus joins in the fight.

Hunt: Jesus, they're all killing each other!
Alan: That or trying to stop him.

Dread then knocks Stygimorah on the ground, who is exhausted from the fight. Venatus lunges forward, but Dreadaugor grabs him by the throat, then fires his beam, sending him flying into the ocean. Dreadaugor then turns to look at the humans, drooling acid saliva.

Lilian: The princess said he'll target the sentient beings...

Dreadaugor lets out a sound like he's chuckling. He starts hunting them.

Hunt: We're not going to make it to the chopper.
Alan: Not all of us. You guys get out of here.
Rosetta: Dad?
Alan: Tanana, Lilian, you all get out of here, I’ll buy you time!

Stygimorah gets up, just as Dread prepares his sword, he gets impaled. Stygimorah succumbs to his injuries, then Alan fires a rocket at Dreadaugor, who responds by swooping down and devouring him. Hunt gets the shocked families on the ship. Dreadaugor then climbs a volcano and lets out a bone-chilling roar so loud anyone who hears it nearby has their ears bleeding. Venatus appears, and then bows to Dreadaugor.

Lilian: Why would Venatus bow to him?
Hunt: It's not just Venatus. Look.

The monitors show ALL superspecies responding to Dreadaugor's call around the world and going on violent rampages.

Ren: It has begun. The beginning of the end.
