Debut - Amalgam

Another year has passed. Monsterland is deemed a protected land. And while humanity has welcomed the Atarashi, there are suspicions regarding the Tyrannoids.

Tyrannoid Elder: As mentioned earlier, it’s the rival faction that is the enemy, not us.
Senator: Yet they are the same species as you.
Tyrannoid: They are a subspecies. Unlike standard Tyrannoids, the Super Tyrannoids have little to no regard for endangered species.
Atarashi Prince: The elder speaks the truth, Senator. If the Tyrannoids were truly malevolent, we would not have allowed them here or be in alliance with them.
Atarashi Princess: And the Super Tyrannoids are hungry for power. We promise you we Atarashi and the normal Tyrannoids are not corrupt with power. If our means were offensive, we would have already attacked you.

Meanwhile, Tiana is walking around.

Tiana: What if the Atarashi prince is right? Maybe I should do what is good.

She leans on a tree. Unknown to her, a Super Tyrannoid camera is watching her.

Dr. Yuri: So there she is. She must have told the Americans everything.
Super Tyrannoid: Do you want me to kill her?
Dr. Yuri: No. Much worse.

On the Atarashi mothership, Lilian is improving her psychic powers using Atarashi techniques.

Lilian: At least I'm not putting as much stress on my brain as I used to.

She is able to move the pillars now.

Atarashi Princess: You’re doing better than expected now. What is the activity in her brain like?
Atarashi: More stability and less stress.
Atarashi Princess: Alright Lilian, that's enough for today.
Lilian: Very well, your majesty. I appreciate what you have done for me. I really do.

She heads back home.

Dr. Yuri is checking on his experiment, which is currently an embryo.

Super Tyrannoid: You did say you wanted a chimera, so we gave it three heads, as well as four arms.
Dr. Yuri: And two snakes for tails I can see that.
Super Tyrannoid: With our breeding technology, it should reach maturity quickly.
Dr. Yuri: Enough to super charge it?
Super Tyrannoid: Yes, since you want a superspecies of your own.
Dr. Yuri: And what of my former apprentice?
Super Tyrannoid: I've sent an assassin to deal with her.

Tiana is wandering the streets of Russia, when she meets an old friend of hers.

Tiana: Greetings old friend.
Vlad: Tiana?
Tiana: Yeah, its me.
Vlad: Where were you?
Tina: Working for Dr. Yuri. But I’m done with him. Come with me, Vlad. We can find a peaceful life together.

They hug tightly They hear a chuckle from behind. It's a Super Tyrannoid assassin.

Super Tyrannoid: So my prey shows up
Tiana: What? What are you talking about?
Super Tyrannoid: Dr. Yuri knows that you betrayed him, so he hired me to collect the bounty on your head.
Vlad: There's no bounty on her.
Super Tyrannoid: Oh there will be. On any planet, murder pulls the tightest bounty. Even for rodents like you.
Tiana: I only told the Americans how to manage the Volch'ya staya. I never killed anyone!

The Super Tyrannoid glares at Vlad, who grabs a club to fight back, but the alien blows Vlad's head off.

Super Tyrannoid: You just did.

He reloads and makes his way to Tiana. She makes a run for it, and the Super Tyrannoid gives chase, but loses the trail when Tiana hides in the sewers. He sends alien hounds to search for her.

Meanwhile, the embryonic chimera starts growing rapidly

Dr. Yuri: Growing fast.
Super Tyrannoid: Just as intended.
Dr. Yuri: Has the bounty hunter done his job yet?
Super Tyrannoid: His instructions were clear: come back with the bounty or don't come back at all.
Dr. Yuri: If that bounty hunter can find her. She is rather resourceful, especially if she can reach her new allies.

Meanwhile, Alan receives a phone call from Tiana.

Alan: Hello? * as Tiana speaks loudly into the phone * WHOA! WHOA! CALM DOWN! What's going on?
Tiana: I'm being hunted by an alien dinosaur hired by Dr. Yuri! I think Dr. Yuri has figured out my betrayal.
Alan: You want me to come get you?
Tiana: What choice do I got? Yes, I want you to get me before that alien dinosaur comes after me.... I gotta go, meet me in St. Petersburg.

Tiana hangs up, and hides one of the alien hounds appears. Alan takes the Atarashi teleporting devices to get to St. Petersburg.

The hound growls and Tiana turns to run, but right into the Tyrannoid.

Super Tyrannoid: Where do you think YOU'RE going?

He kicks her down.

Super Tyrannoid: You’re now mine.

Alan intervenes, shooting his mask

Super Tyrannoid: Interfering with a Tyrannoid's hunt is against Tyrannoid law, Earthling.
Alan: Even so, she is my friend.
Super Tyrannoid: Since you’re interfering, I may as well take easier prey.

He points at Alan. Alan dodges the blast, then shoots the blaster. They fight until other Tyrannoids arrive.

Tyrannoid Leader: The female is mine. I claim the bounty.
Drone: *scans Tiana* Claim confirmed.
Tiana: What?
Tyrannoid: You have our protection, child.
Super Tyrannoid: Not for long.

He points another blaster at them.

Super Tyrannoid: Hand her over now!
Drone: *points laser at Super Tyrannoid* Violation. Stealing another's bounty is against Tyrannoid law and a hunter's code.
Super Tyrannoid: Hunter's code or not, I'm having the human female.

He lunges only to have half his face sliced off, but it turns out the Super Tyrannoid is half cybernetic

Tyrannoid Leader: Young and impulsive beings never seem to learn.

Meanwhile, a nearby building shakes and begins to crumble and the Amalgam erupts from the ruins. It rampages the city, spasming out of control

Alan: That thing isn't natural.
Tiana: It has three heads, what's natural about that?
Alan: Five, the tail has two snake heads.
Tiana: Dr. Yuri must have made it. He was obsessed with mixing and altering DNA. The aliens must have helped him achieve it further.
Alan: Making that chimera.

It attacks the city until the Volch'ya staya arrive. The center and right heads roar out in aggression, although the left head examines the humans, but it's bumped by the middle head. The Amalgam attacks the Volch'ya staya, putting up a good fight The humans try to take cover as it lays waste to Soviet forces firing on the abomination. While the right and middle heads look at the fleeing humans, the left head licks up the remains. The middle head nudges the left head.

Alan: I think that’s our cue to escape.

They get on the Tyrannoid ship, but the Amalgam follows. Then something alerts it, stopping it in his tracks. It's the female Stygimorah. The middle and right heads roar out, but the left head is unsure, as the female Stygimorah roars back. They charge and fight violently. Then she rams the abomination in the middle head. The Amalgam fires a beam at her from its mouths, sending her down into the depths. He then leaves the ruined city. Dr. Yuri watches from the ruins.

Super Tyrannoid: Was your chimera what you expected?
Dr. Yuri: More than I expected. Now the Amalgam can do as it wishes.
Super Tyrannoid: The bounty hunter failed, and the girl?
Dr. Yuri: Leave her. I have everything I need.
Super Tyrannoid: And my payment?

Yuri smiles, the he kills the Super Tyrannoid with his own blaster, blowing a hole through his chest.

Dr. Yuri: That should be payment enough.

Meanwhile, Tiana is given medical attention.

Atarashi Princess: She'll be alright, apart from some cuts.
Alan: At least that's a good thing. Although prior to Curly, Larry and Moe popping up, I heard about a mountain popping up in Africa, and there aren't any mountains in Sudan.
Atarashi Princess: Our forces are investigating that.

Meanwhile, Lilian sees the Prince looking concerned about the recent event with the Tyrannoids.

Lilian: Something concerns you?
Atarashi Prince: The recent events regarding the Tyrannoids. Its put a strain in terms of relations.
Lilian: Must be hard. By the way, I never did get your name.
Korso: Korso. My sister is Ren.
Lilian: So what will happen now? Will the Tyrannoids be exiled from Earth?
Korso: They hope that isn't the case. The Xenorahs infested their home planet, and wherever they went, their superior cousins followed. We Atarashi have seen this countless times, when a world with a civilization at the peak of its glory is snuffed out by a greater being. For the Tyrannoids, it was the Xenorah. I'm also worried that you humans could make the same mistake.
Lilian: I assure you it won't happen. Some of the monsters are defending the Earth.
Korso: Those are the benevolent types. Few of the species you have met have proven to be a threat to civilization, Lilian.
Lilian: Korso? Was your home planet destroyed by monsters too?

Korso feels a jump in his heart. After a silence, he reluctantly answers.

Korso: Yes. A monster said to destroy all in his path, even the Xenorah fear it. He brings dread and despair where he goes. Senshokutai managed to save our race, but that beast is still out there. I fear the day he comes to Earth. We hesitate to carelessly name it. It is our believe that words can have tremendous effect.
Lilian: Its like a bad omen.
Korso: Yes. Although the beast seems to know how successful sentient species are. And thus, he targets them first.
Lilian: What is it?
Korso: In time, you will know.
