it's nice to see all the variety of colours on the small view of this, I feel like I've been pushing myself more to use different colour palettes and to be a bit bolder and stronger with the sort of, through-line of the colours I choose if that makes sense. a great deal of paintings which is fun - around january I distinctly remember feeling that I was getting bored of painting and I needed a new approach to it to enjoy it more. I guess I found it, cause I sure am still painting! I'd love to do more lined characters on painted bgs though cause I love that look and I think it has tons of merits in its own right. that aza set from april remains one of my favourites from this year c:

the latter third of 2022 has been quite a profound year for me in my personal life, so I'm curious to see how that might impact my art and workflow going into 2023.
