Description
Well well well, what do we have here.I've had this idea for quite a while. I actually had originally planned on using pictures of the space shuttle going into space. But then i wouldnt be able to sell it through dA Prints. Sure enough, i went on vacation and took some pictures, which are the ones you see here.
So whats the idea behind this?
If you want a graphic idea, then its very similar to the ending of Men in Black. Where you see the camera zooming out and it turns out that our galaxy is nothing more than a marble, which happens to be some aliens' collection.
At first it was simply going to be a beach with a space added on top, but then i got the idea and started working on it.
As you can also see, and if you have been following my work, this is my first work with completely new starfields and nebulas. In fact, this is the first time im painting nebulas like these. They arent as good as i hoped for, but i had to start somewhere, and im gonna post them so that you can see my progress.
The image quality isnt top notch for 2 reasons:
1) the pictures that i took were at 1024x768 ( i forgot to set high resolution, was worrying about space on memory card)
2) I thought about dial-up users, so i made it as small as possible without losing quality (about 300 kilobytes)
Special thanks to:
~alphaosiris For giving me the idea of including marine wildlife.
~agarash For making me realize that i got too excited painting nebulas and overdid them quite a few times in a few regions
+musicinmyhead for helping out a bit dealing with the whole margin thing.

Nice to see you being even more revolutionary with your planet scapes. This is for sure a refreshing change from the usual trendyness.

A great idea of a piece this. Each part is incorporated very well but still a good contrast between the colours.
Well done

Wow, that's nice. So much to look at. Love the colour changes that happen as you scroll up (or down, however you do it), and how it's much more tall than wide...Definately liking the crossing between the photos and the paintings.

Hot damn, now that is one of the best pieces I have seen this year. It's full of detail, variety in objects and colors, combines photos with 3D and own brushwork .. it's all what I think one can wish for.
It's brilliant my friend, easily one of your best (if not the best imho). The only thing I would try to improve is the rocky circle around the top planet. In my opinion it's missing depth and variety, I think. It's just standing out too much in my opinion.
Nonetheless, awesome work

I really love this. It's absolutely amasing. The marine wild life confuses me, but I really like the concept. Love how it all blends together, between different scenes.
I think you could have done without the wildlife that far up the pic. I try to be open to new stuff, but all in all, it just confuses me.
Marvelous picture, great work. With your permission, I'd like to make a wallpaper of this - only for myself. ( ? )

That's pretty intense man, I love how they intertwine. I just don't understand how space can transform into the ocean again

i love the vertical set up, and i told you that.
i like how you've applied higher concepts here, beyond the "look pretty" stage. what's ironic is that i had a discussion with a friend last night about the concept of world within a world...
personally i like the fish. they add a hint of life. they maybe are too close to the top, but that's in small view - in full view they look fine.
wonderful work on the nebulas (well, at least for me - they look pretty and fit with the rest of the picture), and of course the planets.
i love how carefully you evaluate your art.

Me encanta como te quedó. Me gusta el hecho de que hay correlatividad entre el principio y el final de la imagen, como si fuera una vista panorámica en 360º, pero vertical. ¡Excelente trabajo!

This is an amazing piece, I can't believe you only have 1 comment on it!
I absolutely love the entire thing. The blending is perfect and you can hardly tell these images don't go together. The fade from one to the next is smooth, which is tough for the large color changes that were there.
My only complaint is the sword fish. They just... stick out.

i love it, like how it repeats itself with the beach and sky all over...tells me there's more dimensions to it then we might know...just like in MIB like you said...
nice colors and frame too.
