The future Dragonborn reached Riverwood. After sharing her story with Alvor, the local blacksmith, he invited her to his house for a meal. Unfortunately, while they talked she revealed that she could have saved one of the Imperial soldiers but didn't. Alvor flow into a rage since he knew the mentioned soldier. From her on things went downwards for the half-elf. Alvor overpowered her and took her downstairs where she was tied and gagged.

When night arrived he Alvor came back and took of the sack off. He could not forgive her. He took her to the local mill that was abandoned at this hour. The half-elf legs were tied behind the saws blade so she could not escape when the log started moving. He then started the machinery.
