Description
This elf boy and human girl are deeply in love with each other... but their parents have forbidden them to see each other, since liasons between humans and elves are so often ridden with hardship. They've managed to sneak off together and are spending some time in a grassy field.

As far as art goes, I didn't clean up the original pencil drawing as much as I could have... but I like the messy look with this picture, for some reason. I also got so tuckered out by all the shading (which is probably not even correct, but I don't care at this point) that I spent little to no time on highlighting. Still, I think the picture came out pretty well.

I used only two basic colors, brown and green (although I did vary the shades of said colors, obviously), both because I wanted to provide a warm feeling and so that the lines would stand out more.

For what started out as such a simple picture, it certainly was very complex to design... I think that's why the couple's backstory is complicated as well. Oh, and I made the Elf-boy's ears more subtle than I make some of my elves.... I like to draw 'em both ways, hehehe.
