Description come hither come hither calls the human in the monster mask and we run tripping after beautiful mismatched eyes. Above us the tall grey people clank and thunder in the stormy sky. they know our names but not our faces and we stumble between them drunkenly and press together hiding in the long black shadows of their wake. we huddle and dip, slide and shiver, joining in spiderclutches as our hearts try to crawl out of our chests and the giants call our names (intimately) across the distance.

don't stop, don't stop cries the monster in the human mask after the metal bellbottoms have rumbled past. behind us the machines are firing wildly and clattering chattering singing already falling apart but still coming. we and all our limbs tremble to obey, climbing up rubble and bones, then slip! tumble and dizzily we are spread over the ground, five pointed to mirror the dark stars. we become stellar beings that cannot be harmed by the broken rattling destroyers, falling backwards through the earth to safety.

slow down, slow down to the two who have led us so far, now queerly twisting, corkscrewing round each other, an amalgam of inhuman flesh, grinding us to the edge. their masks have melded and regard us with a single dispassionate gaze, and though we follow desperately they move on, after the path of the giants and machines. We are left in the dusty stillness to chase neon butterflies, giggling, skipping through empty fields in hazy eternity.
