Inspired by yet another experience of witnessing a Timon-hater. This picture's title is a question I must ask of the few people in the world who hate Timon. According to what I've read, we fans are in the majority, because, according to what I've read, Timon is the most popular character in all of the TLK franchise. But some people aren't fans, and some of that minority opinion contains something that's even more outside what's the usual: haters. Now, obviously, I don't love Timon for how popular he is, as I knew about that after my fandom for him was formed, and I love him for him, and I find that following "the crowd" for the sheer sake of doing what's most popular is just plain ridiculous. However, I feel the need to point that out, as it shows just how many people truly love Timon, and it also shows that most people in the world have some sense in their heads. But there are people who do not agree with me that Timon is a good character. Even the most popular character in the whole dang franchise has a few haters, as illogical as those who even so much as dislike him are, there are a few who somehow hate the little meerkat. And those people just don't make any sense at all. Why do Timon haters feel the way they do? What's to hate? He's a great guy; he's not deserving of hate! So why do some people hate Timon? I just don't get it.

So here's the story in the picture itself: Timon and I are together, and we just witnesses another Timon-hater, who bullied him pretty badly. Timon felt sad, even though he knew what the hater thought about him wasn't true, because he still doesn't like being thought of as a "bad guy" when he's not. I give him a gentle, loving, comforting touch on the shoulder, letting him know it's gonna be okay, and feeling quite badly about the hater myself. In addition to our sadness, we're also both confused as to how someone could possibly hate a cute, smart, sweet, wonderful meerkat.
