Rocket and Big Jet are on a ladder trying to screw a light bulb to a lamp post. After a few failed attempts at screwing it, Ember Lumen gets totally angry that the two cannot get it right for the past hour and decides to do it herself. The duo asks her why she was rushing, and she claims that she has plans for tonight. They sort of make fun of her thinking that she was just a loner that suddenly has a night life, and she gets somewhat annoyed. The two started fighting over who made her angry, causing the ladder to fall off, knocking Ember out cold after falling on the ground.

Scared that they will be terminated, they decide to bring her to her house so she can rest and probably forget about the accident. While riding the car driven by Rocket, Ember falls off again due to lack of support. The pair tapes her to the car seat and places glasses on her to conceal her unconsciousness. Shield Wing suddenly sees them, and they drive away from him afraid that he will find out about Ember's issue. He runs after them and surprisingly catches up. He wants to talk to her about a task he did and thanks her for the jazz concert tickets, and they pull it off by making Ember's arms move pretending to acknowledge Shield Wing.

They finally reach Ember's house, and when they were about to enter her room, her neighbor Wade Ripple, a man with a water like hair, opens her door. He asks her where she's been and tells her that the party started two hours ago and invites her in. Rocket tries to make an excuse that Ember is exhausted from work and cannot go to the party. Wade is disappointed as they had it planned two months ago and he has not talked to her much after being neighbors for a long time, although he seems to understand her, considering she's a working cast member. Rocket feels guilty that Ember's night with Wade was ruined and feels obliged to bring her to the party. She convinces Big Jet that Ember might forget how she got knocked out and just think that she partied too hard, which may get them off the hook. So the three enter Wade's house where a wild party takes place.

Wade finally sees himself and Ember sitting together and can start a conversation. Rocket causes Ember's hand to land on his, thinking that he likes her. He smiles, but it has made his ex-girlfriend, Aquamarine, jealous. She approaches Ember, calling her a jerk-face and loser. Wade argues that they are no longer together and he can talk to anyone he wants. Aquamarine starts poking Ember's head, trying to enrage her, which angers Rocket, who in turn grabs his hand to splash a glass of water all over Aquamarine. Feeling embarrassed, he challenges her to a spice eating contest, thinking that she cannot beat her 'iron stomach.' Rocket and Big Jet accept the challenge on Ember's behalf. She easily wins the contest as she is unconscious. Aquamarine then offers her a victory drink, which she calls the Mississippi Queen.

Ember regains consciousness after smelling its strange aroma, then Rocket and Big Jet quickly drag her to the bathroom. She feels her stomach ache and her fiery mouth, and immediately drinks water from the sink. She asks how she got to the party, but Big Jet spills the beans on how she got knocked out. She at first becomes outraged at them, almost firing them, but then less so once she finds out that Wade is cheering her on. As a result, she agrees to drink the Mississippi Queen, on the condition that Rocket and Big Jet drink it too. Surprisingly, the drink was not spicy at all, but instead caused wild hallucinations. The next morning, the three wake up on the ground in front of Space Mountain. She had it with them and decides to fire them, but when he read a note that was stuck on her by Wade Ripple, she just asks them to return to work. The note has Wade's number written on it and asked her to call him.
