EDIT: okay, so apparently devart version 7 has been causing this picture grief, so I reloaded it. Sorry if it shows up in your inboxes.

This pic was inspired by =nillia . She did a picture called "Kagome is..." and is now hosting a project where anyone can submit different "Character is..." pics (right here [link] ). So, I chose Jaken, because Jaken doesn't get near the attention that he should.
That one frame about the remote controller, I based that off of the olden days when televisions didn't used to have remote controllers (I shudder at the thought). Anyways, all the old people would always make their little children get up and change the channel for them. Good thing those days are gone. *wipes brow*
Sorry for it being such a big pic.

Well, it was really only an example of Jaken's devotion to Sesshomaru. In my mind, neither of them ever die.

You're right. He really is overly abused. He always portrayed as just an uneccessary tool, and oftentimes, he's left out of a lot of fanart/fanfics. I don't blame people for loving Sesshy more (X3), but Jaken does deserve a little bit of credit. ^_^
Anyways, glad you like my comic! (That last panel seems to be the most popular. Strange, if you think about it.
