Anyone know what that "fictional" fabric material is called that becomes as rigid as steel when a current passes through it?

electroactive polymer ( or EAPs ), it can be shaped with charges, and used as actuators, but to be as strong as steel.... there would either have to be alot of the fabric, or a higher than average charge, or both.
