In a world ruled by both magic and science fundamental principles overlap and build off of each other. With the scientific discovery of anti mater, it became inevitable that the discovery of anti magic would be brought into new age mystic thought.

Aethoid was a horrific being who embodied the secrets of anti-magic. Traditional thought would have beloved that anti-light magic was simply dark magic, or that anti-fire was water (it's natural opposite). However, anti-magic was one that canceled out other magical schools. Anti-fire extinguished fire magic, anti-light magic simply canceled out light.The highest practice of anti magic became widely known among the divine beings as null magic. This foul art combined the 4 anti-elements and created a unified anti magic that reduced everything to nothing and its only user was Aethoid.

Aethoid was highly unpopular among the other mystic beings of the time... He could never be defeated as he effortlessly nullified any effort against him. Time past and Aethoid became arrogant about his power. He claimed he could nullify anything with no exception. He challenged the gods to find something he could not nullify. One after a other the gods tested Aethoid's power, each proving that he was indeed undefeatable. After many trails one being offered the most horrifiying idea. The Monolithic Butterlfy Preistess, still not recovered from her last failed romance, asked him to try nullify the magic of love so that noone would have to feel heartbreak again.

This shocked the other gods how could the world exist without love? War would engulf the world, reproduction would halt and life would go extinct, there would be no need to make little pink heart shaped canoed on Valentine's Day!

In a rare act of desperation Zinona collaborated with her evil daughter Koskamish. Zinona realized the need for love (she really liked heart shaped candies) and convinced her daughter that if there was no love, there would be more evil in the world and Koskamish would look less evil by comparison. They came up with a plan that they believed would protect the world from devastation.

As Aethoid prepared to nullify all the love on Earth, Koshkamish interrupted and claimed "that challenge is too easy! Anyone can nullify love! Only a fool would need magic to nullify that!". Aethoid paused.... It was true. Humans had been successful in nullifying the value of love with their hatred and greed alone. The idea did truly seem useless. Before he could respond the evil snowflake yelled "what I bet you truly cannot nullify is....Your own nullification magic!". And with that she revealed a mystic mirror sculpted by her mother the glass blower. "Nullify your own magic! That would truly prove that it is an absolute ability" she continued. The idea seemed stupid ."Nullify the ability to nullify? Certainly nothing would happen..... Wouldn't it?" he pondered.

Though he was well aware that the evil snowflake goddes was likely trying to trick him....his curiosity went wild. Indeed there was only one null magic user in the world, so two spells of the same type had never met. What would happen? Ignoring his better judgment he cast an immense spell at the mirror.

As both Zinona and Koskamish expected, the spell bounced back and struck Aethoid. What followed however defied the expectations of everyone there. Most never came to understand what happened. That day two things were revealed. The first that null magic could not nullify itself. The second, that there was a reason two null magic users are never ment to meet.....

Now I can get to the fractal. It's a lazysusan fractal, with a small idea I had that I wanted to try out. Sometimes when I make them I get regions that are empty circles. So I shrunk the fractal down, recoloured it all in a linear variation and placed 5 of them in 5 of the holes. So yes, the colours are part of the raw fractal. I was thinking of 5 different circles for 4 or 5 elements of western though (earth,wind,water,fire and maybe Aether/spirit). But it was not that nice, so I made it into a creepy face
