Description
"A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum"I designed the scenery and lighting and directed this show. It is my last design for the theatre as a full time designer. I'll be focusing on more directing.
I decided to do the rendering and design of the show in a digital approach. I rendered the set on photoshop and used the color samples in ordering the paints needed. My scenic artist was Sara Pruter who worked off of printed copies of the rendering. I drafted the groundplan and elevations on AutoCad and my head carpenter Dale Kilpatric imported the AutoCad drawings into Vector works. The photograph below is the final set in performance. Costumes by Betsey Sahlman made from raw silk and dyed accordingly. Some of the lighting utilized digital robotic lights.
