Well, it's a few days early.. but here it is! A full replacement for dAmnIT! (which was removed )
As promised, it has the ability to submit quotes, "like" them, search through them, and it contains all the old quotes from dAmnIT. I completely rewrote it from the old version so there may be some bugs. If you find any, let me know. :dev: links, :icon: links, and :thumb: links should all be fully operational in quotes, but emoticons have not been added. This is because deviantART does not allow emoticons to be used off-site, and it'd take me forever to get permission from every single person for this. So, we'll just have to deal with what it has. (Note that dAmnIT did not support :thumb:, but this does!)
Let me know what you guys think! This took a bit of time and some late nights thinking of the best ways to make things "flow well", but I'm happy to have a working replacement for a feature I loved so much.

The only reason I don't allow that at the moment is because I wouldn't be able to allow things like submitting, favoriting, etc. While I could do it, the only people who use it are dA members anyway.

You could just limit the submit/favorite thing to people who do have accounts, and allow browsing to non-members?

unfortunately, there's nothing your or I can do until deviantART re-adds the parameter they took out of the API abruptly. I don't have an ETA, as dA won't provide one. I'm hoping that they'll fix it within the next few days.

I saw that happening in the logs last night. I'm not sure why, but for some people dA is refusing to interact with server. I'll look into it when I get home, but it's pretty strange.

Yes, that way it can tell who you are so it can store things like what quotes you "like" and which ones you've submitted.

It could, but the file would be huge (literally) and would take a long time to be downloaded. It's more efficient for people to just browse via the site or use the search function.

I know it might take too much work, but would there be a possibility that someone can possibly archive all existing dAmn It quotes into a format of your choosing, and make a similar database?
My programming knowledge is highly limited, but I'd otherwise be interested in this. Highly interested, even. >_>
