Description
After the destruction of Luoyang by Dong Zhuo, Shen and Lian along with members of Sun Jian's army stayed to help the citizens either evacuate the ruined capital or help rebuild. Shen was more than happy to help since the place he once called home was gone, alongside those who stayed there, some fled with Dong Zhuo while others died either in the fires or died fighting the opposing forces. Impressed with the siblings resolve in helping the people Sun Jian enlists to two siblings and afew others to hold the city as he would leave back to his homeland...unfortunately Sun Jian would fall in battle on the way there which left Shen to be 'convinced' to take up the leadership role and did so with Lian at his side as the new faction and ruler of the Xu Shen Army.
