"That's funny. You think a character like Freddy is the greatest horror villain ever? Or Michael Myers? Or maybe Dracula. Or Pinhead. 'Pinhead'. Now THAT'S a stupid name."Here's why they all fail. Their little... explanations? Their backstories? They just make them less fearful. See, a large part of fear is the unknown. And what do you know about me?
"Exactly. NOTHING.
"You don't know how I got these scars. You don't know how I was able to cause so much damage in such a short amount of time. You don't even know if I'm really crazy, or I just like hurting people.
"I don't have a backstory. I don't need one. And I don't need to kill. Instead, I do something worse.
"I corrupt. I turn you into the darkest possible version of yourself. I get into your head, I convince you that life is a joke, and that we're all the same.
"We're all animals. UGLY animals.
"That's why I'm possibly the greatest horror villain ever. Because I'm more than a horror villain.
"I'm the Joker."

This might be my Halloween pic. Kenny as Heath Ledger's Joker. Kenny's a big fan of horror, and I think he'd appreciate Ledger's Joker as a horror villain, even if the Dark Knight isn't necessarily a horror film.
