the 1st thing that came to mind when i saw this was Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky", this is beautiful, i love the colors, the looseness, everything, it makes me wanna do more speed painting!! XD

"How far?" yelled the Gunslinger from the small couch below the hovercraft's deck but Elizabeth and Sherman did not answer him. Their minds were focused on the horizon and what lay beyond it as the wind whipped past their ears.

Somewhere beyond the mountains and forests was the Great City and inside the city was their home. They wondered anxiously if it was still there. If their mother was still living and if their wicked step-father was still hovering over their home like a plague.

"I asked how far?" The Gunslinger yelled again, this time sticking his head out the lower deck to view their progress. He saw the sunset and flashed a broad colonial smile, "Well...ain't that a sight. Pretty country y'all live in."

The siblings did not answer him.
