I read somewhere once that the Cyclops may have been originally inspired by the skeleton of and elephant or mammoth. With this design I though I'd try to blend a little elephant anatomy with the traditional one-eyed giant.Related content

That is a very neat inspiration to go with, make the Cyclops more distinct than just a giant one-eyed man.

Thanks for commenting. I think the term "inspired" still applies regardless of whether the person/people who invented the cyclops myth believed their suppositions to be fact or not.

yeah they were, but it wasnt inspired, the people back then thought that the skulls were from one eyed...things
