You remember Violet's forcefield from "The Incredibles"? I think Shining's shield "bubble" can work the same way, but we've never seen a situation where that particular version of the power would be useful.

Solution simple: assuming the shield can block teleportation, there is an area that it does not cover: the floor the pony is standing/lying on. Just go downstairs, right under the pony, and then either break into the shield through the roof or teleport right through the gaping hole in the shield.Β

I would assume that breaking into one of Shining Armor's shields would be a difficult task for even Celestia and Luna. Β She stated herself that no one but Shining Armor could project a shield over an entire city; not even her. Β Cutie Mark magic seems to be very potent; making the bearer even more powerful than an alicorn inΒ one, very specific, area.
He would probably tire eventually, but I feel he could hold an alicorn or two off for at least a while. Β Heck, Sombra had a difficult time with even Cadances shield and it took two Alicorns working together to take HIM down.

That's a good point, Cutie mark magic is indeet pretty strong.
But for cadence: Her spezial talent is not a shield. It was more that sombra was unable to do anything against her specific typ of magicΒ (love magic). Maybe it like pokemon, witrh weaknesses and strengh.

You are absolutely right about that. Β I feel that the only reason it gave him such a hard time was because her type of magic (fueled by Love and Light) was diametrically opposed to everything he is about (Shadow and Hatred). Β I was just using her as an example because we have, regrettably, never seen any magic shield in the show other than that one stress tested beyond keeping the CMC out of a library or an entire changeling army hammering away at one AFTER Shining Armor was already brain washed.
Either way, I don't believe that just giving her a type advantage should be enough to allow her to trivialize her husband's special talent. Β I feel like, if he hadn't gotten his horn crystallized, one of Shining Armor's shields should have been even better at keeping Sombra out, but Cadence's type advantage just barley allowed her to narrow the gap between their skill levels enough to keep Sombra out. Β Then again, Cadence had to concentrate nonstop on her's whereas Shining, as depicted in the picture here, can basically cast his and then just forget about it for a few hours before he needs to reinforce it again.
I honestly hope that we get a bit more interaction between the main six and these two again soon. Β I really like Cadence, but I can honestly say that the comics have done more for Shining Armor than the show has regrettably. Β I want to like him more, but the show just hasn't done much with him yet.
