Spriggans- A rather strange and rare race of fair folk, often thought of as a cross between a dwarf and a dryad. Spriggans are a type of fair folk rarely seen due to some cataclysm wiping out almost half of them. In appearance, they are a small folk being about 3.5-4 ft tall and looking similar to dwarves with either moldy green or muddy brown skin tone. They will often also have features similar to tree branches and hair similar to grass, vines, or roots like a dryad, signifying a connection to earth and nature. Some Spriggans have antlers growing out of their heads. Their natural connection to the earth makes them skilled and powerful druids. However, Spriggans have another peculiar thing about them; a strange defense mechanism. If backed into a corner with no other option, a spriggan grow in size to about 12 feet tall with monstrous features. Their appearance is often enough to scare people off but if that’s not enough, their strength increases with their body growth. Disposition wise, Spriggans are like most fairies, light-hearted and playful with love for the forest and things grow. Though due to their limited numbers, Spriggans are not often seen save for dense forests and fae groves.
