Description Mostly consisting of fanart. Read further to see why most of what I did this year was fanart.

1. Spring 2012, I had a chat with my art professor about my life plans. She said "At this point in time, you're very lucky to be taking both communication studies and fine arts studies. Use them as your foundations in your artwork. They will overlap. You'll see what I mean".

2. Summer 2012, I took a communication course on ethnography: where we go into field study and reflect on the knowledge and the system of the meanings in the lives of people (within cultural group). I learn to get out of my comfort zone.

3, Fall 2012. I attended the Pixar Masterclass, took a film class, an art history class, and a class focusing on traditional medium. I learned to expand my horizon.

4. Winter 2012. I compile my digital work throughout the year. Most of them consist of fanart because of my year focused on studies. I use fanart as a way to practice new techniques and to learn from the artists who created them.

I then realize the reason these artists are loved is because of their ideas and not just their art. Face it, the best stories you hear are always the simple, yet mind-blowing ones (1). Of course, these things would mean tonnes of research since writing stories and characters are not easy (2). And if I wanted to become an animator, I needed to learn the basics (3). With all seasons coming together, at last, I realize that 2012 is a year of learning, a year of experimentation, a year where I am given a chance to get back up on my feet.

Thank you, dear viewers for watching me/taking time to look at my work. Thank you for your support thus far. I appreciate it.
