god dammit... i am so young... thats actually older than me.... (well, only by like a year, but still.. i missed the whole atari thing...)

so i know nothing about pixels or whatever, but i do have to say that this is pretty freaking amazing... the diskette cases rock... the shine on them makes em look uber realistic... tho it doesnt look like the lines (which make them seperate disks) that start on the side go on the top too... (um.. so that wording was horrible).. what im saying is that they all look like one big thing on the top instead of seperate disks... (hope that made more sense)

but hey, i respect it as is... cause, well, honestly, i seriously know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about pixels! haha... o boy.. ill shut up

I wasn't even born until 1987 and I remember these because my parents kept a really old computer with all of the above stuff around for years, up until about 1995 I think. AWESOME pixel art. 0.0 That's insane detailing right there.

Ahh, nostalgia. Got two of these guyes *grin*

Really, the ST had a good run from 1985 up until just before the emergance of Windows 95... Never before have I been addicted to a pinball game as much as Obession, back in 94.. and Carrier Command.. .so many gems.

I love the diskette boxes in the side. Use to have one like that.
Couldn't afford that machine when it was out. I was one of the kids who go to the game rental store just to see these babies in action.

Glad to see another contribution to PixelGala.

Nice work on this piece of work. This is, overall, a good recreation of the computer, with the keyboard and computer design much similar to its original counterpart (Though the floppy disk unit is suppose to be separate from the keyboard). With respect to the realism, however, I suggest reworking a few details if you would like to create a better replica of the Atari computer. Here are a few more details that can be looked at:

- Characters on the keyboard;
- Heat vents at the sides of the monitor;
- Emblem on keyboard and monitor: The Atari and 520ST logos;
- Toned down grooves on the floppy disk unit; and
- Toned down the outlines for the additional keys on the upper area of the keyboard.

As for the technical aspects on the image, nicely done. The rendering of keyboard is pretty slick with the use of non-isometric lines and the shadowing is well made and respective to all the objects in the image. On the colours, there are proper uses of light and darker grey for the edges of the computer equipment, disk casings, isometric Atari logo on monitor. Other notables are the wirings and the floppies.

Neato, dude. Keep up the good work.

nice pic

the disks, the joystick, the cases and the keyboard look great. I don't really like the cable, mouse and the upper part of that keyboard. The contrast is to high on it, and the cord/cable looks too tacky. I think the monitor looks to 'clean', especially for a computer for that age. Have you considered texturing? Perhaps add some other color on it, some yellow or something...

Other then that I think this piece looks good.. Well done

Looking at this, you know, there really isn't anything negative of it that I could speak of or anything that needs any improvement (well, the mouse looks a little weird to me .. then again, it doesn't get easily translated into iso).

This is very well done. Don't know why I missed it when it first was submitted.

Very cool, especially like that famous joystick. I like how you have no outlines, it makes it look more realistic.

I think I've only played one time in an Atari, it was a long time ago in a friend's house and I beat the crap out of him (I don't know if he sucked, I was great or if he let me win).

Anyway, focusing. Great piece. My favourite pieces would be the joystick and the diskettes, specially the joystick.
