Description
Swooping is where one flies a high performance canopy fast, close to the ground.
Of all the forms of competition, this is the most spectator friendly.

Due to the fast diving maneuvers (to build speed for the swoop), non-swwopers are warned to "Stay the hell away" from the high performance landing area.

The pond allows much safer low level performance. In competition, dragging the water with a foot is mandatory.

To crash into the water is called "Chowing." The pond at the DZ near Houston Texas, was found to have an alligator living in it. The gator created a new dimension to the term "Chowing."
