Description
post modern baroquethe pavement goes on,
it curves and it turns
as it mangles the notion of distance
this whole day reminds me
of a story I used to tell,
about an old house up
in the Hollywood Hills
where an old actress lived
like Gloria Swanson,
we used to play war there
World War II like it was yesterday,
real Gothic horror

yes, that was an odd occurrence as i was painting that piece, that shape became as if a red Zeppelin had hovered in and stationed itself in the sky. I kept it and it worked. thanks for noticing. i do like that red blob a lot

i was trying to understand why i have a hard time with computer colour and opt for black and white.
because of the lack of realism in its mode.
i doubt the best collaboration of pixels could replace the purity of pigment.
and while i lack this or that in using paint and brush...i prefer it over computerized colour...even for camera mode.
if -when --i think i shall stick to film...for the hands on effect of ones work/ vision

this is breathtakingly beautiful...I need to request some air now
and such a shame there are questions at all...you are doing the real stuff....it is the REAL confrontation between the material, medium etc and yourself, your hands, body movements....
sadly, these aspects are often getting neglected in discussions...real and digital painting are by no means the same....
the difference is not only huge, it is like another dimension...or like the difference between really driving a car including all consequences or playing to drive a car in a video game without no real consequences....
anyway...I am babbling...but this is a wonderful piece for sure
