Stippled portrait

This was done from a VERY faded photo taken in the early 50's. I was commissioned to do him (who died shortly after the picture was taken) and his widow. I was hired by his daughter to do them for her mother's birthday. This started out as a first draft, which I thought was too small, so I redid it, then used the initial layout to stipple it instead. Bad idea stippling on heavy, high texture paper - as you can see, and hence the title - but I always love the effect of a stippled portrait.
