Taken at the mannequin showroom in New York. This one was taken inside the window. For me this mannequin is less glamorous looking compared to most of their very beautiful mannequins. She possesses a much more plainer look although still pretty. She doesn't seem to have any make up at all but think it would had been better if they would at least painted her lips with a little bit of color. The plain white shirt looks well with her look overall. Do you think she would make a great date for any guy that is looking for more of the plain Jane type? Either way I think she still holds such natural beauty and what I like best about her face the most is the way the lighting here brings out a peek of her long pretty lashes which is better to see on a larger view. The hair looks great because it almost appears that it is weaved into her head doesn't really look like a wig at all. I don't mind at all Cheryl. I love speaking about them. I have been very attracted to mannequins for so many years and get out there to take photos when I can. I think one of the reasons is because they possess an eternal beauty that can never die. And they can never grow old and they have such a lifelike look about them. I had created a mannequins group years ago on DA and would you believe that it is the only mannequin group on DA? I have many mannequin lovers such as myself. When I see one I feel this magnetic force that will take me to that window and want a photo. If I could write as my husband did I would write about mannequins. It is very hard to find any real good poems on them.

Maybe someday you can grab a couple of quick shots of the ones you see in the window. I wish I could see how they make them and apply their make up I would love to be witness to that. I think it would be very interesting. It was my pleasure to share my thoughts

The light in this shot (and shadows) is perfect; really enhances her cheekbones. (listen to me, you'd think I was talking about a real person. 
But that's how nice it is.

Although most women don't want to be treated like objects, with mannequins, it's certainly permissible to, it can be one of their most important purposes in life, to be ogled at, to be fashion models, attract attention with their shape, figure, looks...
But some, like me, use them for other purposes...

Welcome back Steven. I think Jane is a great name for her. I am happy that you were impressed with her I sort of had a feeling you did not care a whole lot for the flashy look. So another thing I have found about about you. The next time I go to the showroom I will make sure that she knows that she has a big admirer.
I enjoy mannequins poems but can't always find just the right ones as they are a bit hard to come by. I must say I am glad that this one image was very pleasing to you. I always feel so satisfied when I know that I brought something good to the surface and speaking of mannequins I must say I love the latest photo of you with Kristen. You both connect so beautifully together in your recent colored photo. I will make sure I watch your latest videos too.

Yes, you are exactly right. I like more of a girl next door look, than, say, tramp on the street look.

I watched the videos of you and Kristen which I am going to say was the one I enjoyed the most as I like seeing you be so attentive towards her and carefully undress and redress her as you carefully remove her limbs. I love her new hairdo it makes her look like a schoolgirl. The color is very nice on her. And she looks good even without the wig. Thank your for sharing your moments with her. No reason, other than that I try to take them in color and in monochrome, each seem to show her beauty in various different ways. Yeah, she looks youthful with her hair in pigtails and in jammies. I have more ideas of things to do in the future with her. I have a surprise in store soon. I won't say more.

My surprise is on her way from your state. She'll be moving into my life soon. That's all I'm going to say.
Color is nice, but it's very difficult. Kristen changes colors. Have you noticed? She's pale, then she's tan, and sometimes even a bit yellow in color. So I guess I did have a reason to do the changing of her in monochrome, because I wasn't sure how the color would turn out. Couldn't go wrong with monochrome. I would have had to undress and redress her for a color one. Maybe another time I'll try color when changing her.

OH LORD say no more I already know what you are going to tell me I am sure that you have just purchased another Roxy mannequin!!! I cannot wait to see her and this is quite a surprise my friend. When will she be arriving? I am sure that is going to be a very exciting day for you. I'm excited myself! Happy to hear it. Have you chose a name for her or is she going to replace Kristen? I have noticed in some of the shots you have taken of Kristen that her color is different at times and though that it was maybe the effect of the different lightnings. Maybe it has something to do with the atmosphere and different temperatures. I would ask someone that does restores on mannequins. You seem happier and that makes me feel happy too!

think it's because Kristen is plastic, not fiberglass, as to why she changes color like that. Even off camera. In the evening, in different outfits, her skin tone changes. She mesmerizes me. Lighting produces all kinds of effects on her.
As far as my surprise goes, I'm keeping my eye on her, and right now, she's in Grove City, OH. She is expected to arrive at my place tomorrow. If she doesn't, at least she will soon. Sooner than the delivery date Roxy gave me, which was est. by Friday to next Thursday. I live close enough to her birthplace, Roxy Display, which you got right, which is in East Brunswick, NJ, so that is why items arrive earlier than expected for me, which is great. I ordered in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Today is Wednesday. So that's pretty fast for her to be here tomorrow.
Can't wait to show her off. I have ideas of what I want to do, but let's see how things pan out. I'm excited. I don't know what you'll think of her, or anyone else, but come what may. People are going to think what they want to anyway, so that's that. This is going to be such fun. : )
Yes, I have a name for her. I'll reveal all such things about her, once she moves into my place, hopefully tomorrow. Not sure when I'll post images/videos, depends upon the amount of time I have with her.
I also have another package arriving sometime. Don't know when yet. If that comes later, I might have to hold off on my surprise until then. I'll see.

That is just so strange. It must be sort of weird to see her skin tone change that way. It's almost as if she was alive. Oh wow tomorrow? I am sure you are so thrilled and can't wait to open up that box and take her out to assemble her. Tell me do mannequins have any sort of scent to them when they are brand new in the box I always wondered. I can't wait to see her I am sure she is going to be really beautiful. I wish I could be there to see the unveiling. Another surprise? wow you have my interest.

Yeah, there is a scent to the fiberglass ones. Probably from their paint. It's not strong, you really don't notice it.
I captured the unboxing and assembly on video and uploaded it to YouTube at the library a little bit ago. It went way better than I thought that it was going to. All candid. I merely positioned the box and Kristen, and then started filming the unboxing and assembly of little Krissy.
