Woooow, this came out absolutely amazing!
It really has emotion in it, it feels as if the rider is curling his/her hands into the mane of the horse for security from the storm and reassurance.

As I said I think you did a wonderful job. Particularly with shading the hands lighter than the dark body of the horse, despite the lighting being the same on both. Epic bg ftw!
