Underworld

Underworld, specifically, a sect of earth's underworld run by the Egyptian Pantheon.

A vast darkness that stretches beyond your imagination. The darkness never ends, there is no way in or out of this dimension aside from the use of teleportation. There is no sun in the black sky instead below there is a swirling vortex known as the Portal of Geb. There is little gravity and one can float or glide as if in space, clothes and hair will drift and sway as if in water, the air does feel a little thicker.

There is no civilization aside from the Ten servant Anubis that dwell there. They do not eat nor do they need to sleep. Their only job is to view memories of a soul and sort them accordingly judging on the once-living’s amount of corruption during life.

If the soul is deemed non-corrupt then they are released back to the world of the living to be reborn as a new life. If they are Corrupt they are purged and sent down to the Labyrinth of Osiris. Here the corrupted souls still have a chance be reborn if they can find their way out. If they do not make it through the Anubis named Osiris  collects them and sends them down to be swallowed by the Vortex of Geb. The energy from these purged souls are absorbed by The King Anubis who lives within the vortex, this prolongs the king’s life span.

Tunnels of Eunasto

Up and Down is not necessarily a thing here. A Person can jump from one piece of building with the vortex below them then jump to the underside  of another piece and stand on it as if they were ‘upright’, the little amount of gravity there is has no effect. Though do not fall off any platforms if you cannot fly or propel yourself, you will get sucked down into the vortex eventually and die (if you don’t starve to death first).

The Living cannot survive here, their souls will be ripped from their body and they will die instantly. To prevent that, all those entering the Abyss from The World Train will need to wear a special amulet.

Culture/People

The servant Anubis do not simply float around in the Abyss, each is located at their own temple. The temples look like broken and decaying buildings, pieces of them scattered and floating. The only sign of them being occupied are the blue and purple fires that burn in braziers.  The Anubis all share a similar appearances; black skin, white hair or fur, animal features, and Egyptian-like clothing.

Animals

The closest thing to an animal would be corrupted souls that have transformed into dangerous bestial forms.

The Good, The Bad, The Cursed

"As most of you know, I Aku have become the new attendant of the World Train. Due to my hard work on the train and several needy passengers, I have fallen behind in my duties. Souls of the dead have been collecting within my Temple. I need you to take a Soul Lantern  and catch a soul within it. Once you have done so,  the memories of that captured soul will be displayed on the glass of the lantern (When Lantern is empty the glass displays the memories of the one holding it).  You will need to do it this way since you are inferior and do not possess the ability to judge souls naturally like the Anubis.  You will need to view more recent memories until the soul’s death. Then  judge them. Please do be careful, touching a soul directly can cause possession. Try not to make a mess, I would rather not clean up after you all. "

Objective:

Draw or RP  your character traveling to or inside Aku’s Temple, have them collecting souls, viewing memories of souls, getting possessed, or releasing them to be reborn or throwing the  lantern  down to the Vortex of Geb to be Purged.

Reward:
Solo: Regular discs/exp.

Collab: +.5 to discs/exp multiplier

Corruption  in the Labyrinth

The Labyrinth is located directly above the Vortex. The watcher of the Labyrinth is an Anubis by the name of Osiris . A flood of souls has entered the underworld, most likely from a war in the world of the living. Due to other Anubis being overwhelmed by these souls most sent them straight down to the Labyrinth to be sorted on their own. Due to the mass It seems that a dangerous corrupted soul  has begun absorbing other souls, taking their energy and gaining a form and consciousness. Osiris has requested assistance from the World Train Passengers to locate, weaken and capture it.  Deliver it to him in the center of the Labyrinth (good luck getting there).

Operation: Culling Souls

Villains Only Mission

In a flurry of black smoke, an envelope  and a package unfurls into existence. Stamped in red wax is a curlicue 'A' which melts away in seconds. The envelope opens and a piece of paper floats out. It reads:

Greetings,

I have another mission for you and I do hope you will take a liking to it. The train’s passengers will be collecting souls. With the influx of living in the underworld, slipping through the cracks to steal souls will be a simpler task.  In the package is a soul lantern I have procured from an inside source. Use it.

Souls are a powerful reservoir for raw magic. So try not to damage them. If cultivated in the right environment they can cause mass chaos in both the land of the living and dead. Much like the corrupted soul in the labyrinth.

If you stole away with that corrupted soul from under their noses, it would be a blow to the conductors pride in her incompetent passengers, wouldn't it?

Well wishes,
A

Objective: Draw or write about your villain stealing regular souls or the corrupted soul. Whether or not they encounter the passengers is up to you.
