There was a very short-lived tv show called "Hull High" that ran on NBC for eight episodes in 1990. A newspaper review of the first episode ( articles.philly.com/1990-08-20… ) notes: "The gorgeous new teacher has no problems getting the students' attention, but they're so distracted by her body that they don't hear what she says, and that leads to a big song-and-dance number around a grammatical concept. She's trying to teach them what a figure of speech is. But, neophyte that she is, she chooses 'soft and round as a peach' as her example, and that only gets a large portion of the class to thinking about her peachy parts." (To give you an idea of the general unsubtlety involved here, the teacher, played by Nancy Valen, was named Donna Breedlove.)

Let's just say your version is far more blood pressure rising than the one female high school teacher we had under 60. Quite pleasant to look at, but she was more the late 20's stoner type who wasn't much concerned about wardrobe choices or putting much effort into her makeup and hair for high school kids. As a study hall teacher we liked her...she'd go out at lunch and get high in her '69 Mach I and then fall asleep at her desk.

I once taught English in high school, but the kids talking here have a more extensive vocabulary. This new teacher is beautiful, and her presence alone will fire up the rumor and controversy mills. The school year be very interesting.
