Velma Dinkley was not happy. “I never get any of the exciting assignments on this team! It’s always ‘Velma research this and Velma hack into that,’ its never ‘Velma, go undercover so that we can truly nail the bad guys!” complained Velma to the rest of the Mystery gang, Fred, Shaggy and Daphne.

“But Velma you’re the brains of the team! We need you to do the hard work so that the rest of us have a chance to solve the mysteries!” responded tall good-looking Fred Jones.

“Well I’ve already done the hard work on this one. I traced the illegal shipments to the Pier 52 at the docks and now all we need to do is to have one of us go undercover and observe who tries to pick up the crates!” explained Velma.

“I know, you did a great job tracking down the shipments and either Shaggy or I will hang out down at the docks and watch for the pickup and the mystery will be solved!” replied Fred.

“See that’s the problem Freddy! I did all the work and one of you will solve the case!” cried Velma.

“But Velma, whoever hangs out at the docks has to blend in with the longshoremen, truck drivers, crane operators, and sailors that work there!” explained Fred.

“So, if I can disguise myself as a crane operator or a sailor I can go undercover and solve the mystery?” smiled Velma.

“Well… I suppose if you fit in at the docks you could go undercover. But, you have to fit in! Work on your disguise and come back tonight wearing it, and if the rest of the gang thinks you can blend in with the dock yard crowd then the job is yours!” conceded Fred.

Velma smiled in anticipation of solving the dock shipment mystery all by herself! "Don't worry Freddy, I will fit in!"
