Description Another Kafka doodle - inspired by the short story 'A Hunger Artist'. (Ein Hungerkünstler)

'A Hunger Artist' was written around 1922. By the time Kafka got around to thinking about releasing the story in a compliation in 1924, he was in a very similar state as the Hunger Artist. Dying from Tuberculosis, he also caught laryngitis which caused his throat to close. For weeks he could no longer eat or drink.
He was still working on editing 'A Hunger Artist' the day before he died.. and he didn't fail to see the irony.

The story can be read here - [link]

I think this is my favourite of your Kafka inspirations.

Thank you I love this story.. it's so sad and touching. Even sadder because poor Kafka ended up this way himself.

Oop, realised I didn't link the story!
