Description
A flying giant strolls through the horse tails covering a river bed. With its head towering above the ground, its eyes scanning the ground beneath and its careful gait it's clear that it's on the hunt. Several avialeans hitch a ride on its back, trying to catch the insects that are driven into the air in the creature's path. At a certain point it freezes, a target is in sight. For a moment the giant stands there as if frozen, easily mistaken for some dead tree trunk if one were not paying much attention to it.Then it shoots forward. Three galloping steps are taken before the enormous bill gets driven into the ground by the surprisingly long neck. A moment later a juvenile Goniopholidid is visible, struggling to escape the ride into an Azhdarchid's digestive system, but to no avail.Β
Arambourgiania philadelphia. Giraffe-sized, wingspan of about ten meters, a neck of three meters: your classic stork of doom.
Also some nice Altocumulus lenticularis in the sky. Special clouds are things you rarely see in paleoart, I need to feature those more often.

Don't know, doesn't the one in the back show a large-ish size next to the trees?

Gorgeous, and a great start to the new year.
Also, won't mama croc be angry? And how exactly do you die? Isn't it dangerous having a live crocodile slide down your oesophagus?

Nah, this juvenile is quite large, about a meter. I don't think they recieve protection from adults anymore at that size.
The pterosaur will probably just spear it before swallowing, herrons do that too with rodents and such.

Well, at least it's on the ground. If the Azhdarchid was flying it'd get quite weird... But:Β static.boredpanda.com/blog/wp-β¦
