this is a friend of mine. taken less than a month ago in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (NYC).try not to be bothered by the grain too much, as i had to use high ISO settings for this location.
see it as you wish.

i find it interesting that the bright light seems to convey a sense of calm or peace, while the red typically is viewed as thrilling or passionate...great combination. You can't see the individual's face, causing the viewer to really think for themselves. Great stuff...

Yes, it is interesting how the heavenly first glance turns into a worldly second with this picture. I first took it to be a knight kneeling in front of the Holy Grail. Excellent shot.

You know what's funny? If I scroll so that the middle of the picture is on my screen, I see a woman looking into a celestial glow, perhaps with some sort of door. Then I scroll down and see the light bulbs and the sweatshirt, and that brings it all back down to earth. A very interesting effect.
