Why is Goku the hero? He's moronic, childish, self-centered, selfish and (for lack of a better term) unbelievable. How many times has he left or ignored his loved ones to train? What's the ratio between training/fighting to spending time with friends and family without it relating to a fight? I'm surprised Chi-Chi hasn't divorced him yet! No wonder Gohan is so attached to Piccolo, the slug-man is a better father than his own father!!
There is nothing that makes me like Goku, he beats everyone he fights because he's "pure hearted" or has "Warrior spirit" or some BS like that. Now he's leaving his friends and family to train with a dragon that may be actually pretty darn evil in nature and is going to do it somewhere that he doesn't know of, and with a smile no less!!!
