Description
So here's a new animation. I decided to choose a character on my own, the sugestions I received did not really interest me.In this animation I decided to work with squares. It's a tiny puzzle which will let you inflate Absol more or less after each time you press the button.
Well, I didn't add any character interactivity, you could consider this an experiment. I hope you find it enjoyable.
I don't know how good you are at reading scribbles, bit if you don't understand the story in the beginning here's what it means:
A scientist offered Absol cookies if she would do the experiment with him.

You have to click the squares in the upper right and get as many reds as you possibly can. The more reds you have, the bigger.

Red means more inflation, yellow means (barely) less, and green means a good amount less. And I believe it doesn't matter which button you press. I believe that all nine buttons are like one big button. So basically, all of the buttons are like one big equation, you could say.
(P.S. Sorry if this is confusing. I tried my best not to be!)

I haz a question. Do the buttons or their colors have ANYTHING to do with the amount added/subtracted from the meter? Or are the colors just random and it doen't make a differance which button you hit? I'm so CONFUSED!

The color is what defines how big she gets each time you click the button.

The more ammount of red squares there are in the panel, the more effect the laser will have.

Oh, i get it. but wait... does that make the reen squares *negative*? and the yellow neutral?

Joshuax152 [2011-07-22 22:11:11 +0000 UTC]
Now i see the whole point of the game..
It is random if you choose colours
Yellow or Red is sometimes the maxiuam ammount of inflation
And green lets you know you need press those buttons sometimes
It confused me for about 25 secs and i just Relized it already

Glitch discovered:
All green causes integer underflow, causing the beam to fire endlessly, finishing the puzzle in one shot.
Otherwise, very very fun!
Yes. I realize how late this comment is.

I like it when people point out mistakes in my programs. But I don't like to hear from people who think they know why my program doesn't work. You shouldn't try to diagnose the problem because you're most likely wrong.
First of all, there's no such thing as an integer underflow. That would mean that a number has less bits than the container could handle. It would be like having water fall out of a glass because there's too little of it.
In a normal case, the computer repeatedly subtracts 1 and checks if the value is 0. When it's 0, it stops inflating. But in the case of a completely green panel, the value starts as 0, then becomes -1 and continues subtracting indefinitely because it never reaches 0.

Which is in effect underflow, isn't it? There is an error because the number is too small.
Though in reality, an integer can underflow. Since it's 0, it changes it and checks the next one up. And on and on until all of a sudden 00000000 becomes 11111111.

"overflow" means that the variable does not have enough bits to represent the value contained within it. "underflow" would mean the variable has way too many bits to represent the value, which doesn't even make sense.
This wasn't an overflow or an underflow. The number of bits had nothing to do with it. It was a programming mistake from my part. I made a program that would stop looping when the value reached 0, but it didn't reach 0 because the value was always negative.
