Description
Here's a simple animation like my old ones. It's Liepard from PokΓ©mon, but not anthro this time. You can inflate Liepard's belly, she gets very round.Related content

No, I'm referring to what she's doing to inflate herself. It doesn't seem to be simply inhaling air as she only expands when she's got that look on her face. It's at that moment that I wonder what she's doing.

She's not inflating herself. You are. She's just reacting.

For some reason i thought i saw the phrase "You are over-reacting" I think i'm in need of glasses...

I was worried about your inactivity these days, great job by the way

Inactivity? I've been uploading almost two things each week for the last month, and about once a week since around February. There's even an upload schedule on my page that goes several weeks into the future.

thumbs up for old school inflations^^
i like the "bubble" effect when it's full

I wanted to make it look tight. It didn't turn out exactly as I hoped, but I couldn't think of how to do it better.

Well, maybe some stretching Lines could help, but even just like it is now looks really Nice

If you deflate her all the way and then hit the inflate button again, a movement bug occurs with the positioning of her eye and nose.

Doom-the-wolf In reply to Thumbtack-of-Ichan [2015-04-20 12:31:12 +0000 UTC]
Can you explain how to do it in more detail? I just can't find out where the error is.

Thumbtack-of-Ichan In reply to Doom-the-wolf [2015-04-20 14:43:33 +0000 UTC]
Certainly.
Actually, now that I try it again, I might have been explaining it incorrectly.
If you have the "continuous" button active and press "deflate" she'll keep her head lowered even once she's back to normal.
When you press the "inflate" button again, her facial features move but her head doesn't, causing her eye to leave her head and dart over towards the top right and her muzzle to recede into her head for a split second.
(EDIT: The bug only seems to occur after she's moved her head at least once, and the severity of it is tied to the inflation speed.)
I can upload a screenshot if you want.

OK, I managed to find it. I'll work on fixing it when I have enough time.

I did it under continuous inflate then continuous deflate and then continuous inflate again. All under 3.5 speed, but I don't think the speed multiplier affects this glitch in any way. You don't even have to inflate her all the way to make this happen.
My diagnosis is the fact that once she's fully deflated, she doesn't return to her initial expression at the beginning of the flash, so I suppose when she tries to re-inflate herself, the flash believes that her head is in the default position, but then tweens itself to match her current position.

The problem is probably a bit more complicated than that. The way I did it wasn't very stable to begin with. I'm going to have to go back and reprogram that part.

I just love how pressing and holding the button gives the feeling Liepard is sucking down air~.

I'm somewhat fond of the bounce she has to her, once she's finished inflating. Very realistic.

I like bouncy things. I think it really improves the animation.

Daebelly In reply to Doom-the-wolf [2015-04-19 20:03:15 +0000 UTC]
It does, admittedly. I can't say that I have seen many animations with bounce to them; A lot ignore physics entirely. I get it, the internet and all that, but realism is a key point in these things, am I right?
π: 0 β©: 1
Doom-the-wolf In reply to Daebelly [2015-04-19 20:08:35 +0000 UTC]
It's because animating bouncing is pretty difficult. I use Actionscript to program bouncing instead, so I have an advantage over animators.

Daebelly In reply to Doom-the-wolf [2015-04-19 20:15:58 +0000 UTC]
That makes sense.Β Personally, I tried animating a bouncing ball once; It looked like a distorted circle going all over the place, so I can see what you mean.

i sorta found a glitch if you turn the speed to 3.0 at the start her eyes detach up-right and then go back when she's slightly inflated

Very cool , and do you draw every frame(Possibly the wrong word to use)?

Doom-the-wolf In reply to freestew [2015-04-19 17:21:59 +0000 UTC]
Flash has shape tweens to fill in blank frames between the key frames. So I didn't have to draw every single frame.

I noticed that the text in the pressure bar can be changed. Is this an oversight or a potential secret?
