Hi all, Hope everyones still keeping safe!!Apologises it's been a while again, the Horror Game Project has fallen through (long story), so trying to find any inspiration while incensed with rage has been difficult! <--- literally me!
I doodled some horror characters at work and developed these ones into more detailed sketches.
These are Watcher concepts, creatures that will act as spies in the game and the player will have to avoid/ hide from them throughout the game. Getting caught by a Watcher could end in either:
1) Game Over 2) Set off alarms making the larger monsters chase you or 3) Alert the main antagonist where you are so he can make the obstacles/puzzles more challenging. I like all options but I'm more inclined to 3.
To me cats are perfect for this role. Cats are always sitting around watching things so they'd be great spies for the antagonist! I'm definitely a cat person but I can totally see them being jerks and messing with the player!!
Anyways I'll try and sketch these in more detailed when I can. I wanted to at least get one more design done before having a break and trying something new. Who knows where it will lead
