love it - such a well executed idea personally think a black border would have worked best... red partially ditracts from the box. but i love it anyway

Nice. I just love how clever this is. How radient the radient stands out against the b;/wh. Very nice focus and use of desaturation.

great idea, i like how you have isolated the subject by desaturating the rest. Gotta try that out. Good composition too, the reading direction lead in lines are pleasing to the eye. Maybe a tighter crop to lose the top but it looks good al the same.

Cheers, that was my first attempt at the desaturation thing. Its a full frame because i like the dark edges in the corners from the wide angle lense, am a bit of a purist so i try to shoot for the frame and not crop, dont know if i can get away with sayin that thou seeing as i massacered it in PS

I like the way that it in thumbnail, it seems at first to be a product shot (a glamour shot for a product), but when you look again, the box is slightly tatty and has a forlorn quality. The dramatic focus on the ironing board is amusing (from someone else who hates ironing). I find frames the hardest thing to get right on dA against the gunge-coloured background.

I didn't want to use frames at all, or lettering and I've ended up doing both. Some colours just look dire with the page colour, and some tones disappear into it. Some colours and black or white seem OK, if they comprise most of the edge areas of a pic. To my eye, the frame you've used above robs the soap packet of a little bit of its uniqueness in the mix. Maybe?

Maybe, i am being subject to peer pressure to introduce framing, it does have its advantages and can really finish off a piece. and like you say it can detract too........ hmmm will have another play with that one and see the results i get.

Very funky!
I love the way you have used the "Radiant" label as a theme for this shot, and the red frame completes it so well.
A bit of a domestic shot by my standards (I hate ironing!) but still a very cool concept & execution.
Great!

Cheers for your input, it is a domestic shot its what makes it appeal to me. I took 2 shots of this suject b4 heading to a wedding and finished the roll on the nuptials and ceromony of friends. got so smashed that i lost the roll and all i said was damn i have lost my radient pics.... im fucking sad turned up 600ks away in kalgoorlie in the back of a car......
