Description Hey guys

while working out some commissions I started to do a bit of test work on a comic page that is extremely far into the comic line of FoX. Why? >:U I'm not going to be spoiling the next few pages dummies!

Anywho, you all know my style (or if you don't you just flipped into my gallery for the first time, or have been living under a rock for the last year now so either is fine...I guess). Recently I've been testing out a new way for more ambiant evil lighting using red colors. Purely for night time effects (like the moon being a blood moon) without being over baring. I actually like how it came out so I might stick to it.

For those whom are thinking "IS THIS REALLY A PAGE OUT OF THE FOX COMIC?" well, actually for the time being, yes.
I know it's about...*counts on fingers*....6...maybe 7 chapters away from where we are now, but I'm thinking that once we actually get to this chapter I actually might revamp this page or do something completely different for intro of this page...if I don't think of anything I'm leaving this page in.

: ) you all get a bit of a treat.

No, I'm not posting regularly. People stop asking if I've returned. I'm still need the next pages commissioned to continue the comic and I'm not posting scraps out of the comic itself unless it's a test page from the comic itself while I'm working on all the commissions at once. Keep that in mind.

yeah, people started to continue my story when I announced I was only going to be here for commissions due to school being more important as of now.

I don't mind really, it's just rather humorous and sad at the same time when people's story no longer are cannon once more and more of the FoX story gets posted and they spent a while writing all this

This is epic. It deserves a poem. *clears throat*

On wings you soar,
On wings so long,
You travel so far,
Through the dark mist's song.

But where dost thou fly, oh Vitali
To Great Britain perhaps? or Italy?
Must thy sword slay so many souls?
For they scream and writhe on burning coals.

Blood drips from the blade,
Do you ever stop and ponder,
About the live that Notch made,
The ones you ended, I wonder.

But beware, oh winged one,
For heroes will arise,
Then will your master keep his word?
Or bat his followers away like flies?

Through secrets and deceit,
Your master will perform a horrendous feat.
Will you stand tall,
Or will you fall?

Israphel lies,
Then will Israphel rise?
Or when the time comes does he fly,
Or perhaps even die?

yeah have you notice no one gets wing span ratios right on humans?

they always make them too small and humans (let alone vampires) and very heavy

it was only a matter of time until some one caught that ;3

Being Vitali seems to have a nack for poems I used part of the poem from the Walrus and the Carpenter for a bit of interesting dialog

I just love Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I couldn't help but notice it.
I love using quotes from the books as well. One chapter of one of my stories is absolutely filled with quotes.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite classic books (plus I love the two horror games based off it to XD)

: ) so far you're still the only one whom caught the poem.

I find it strange and amusing that when others read Alice in Wonderland, they see nonsense, but I find that when I read it, it makes all the sense in the world

And American McGee's Alice and Alice: Madness Returns are truely wonderful games. Very well written.

And I'm surprised that I'm the only one so far

DordtChild In reply to SigmaSkylord [2013-03-12 03:42:24 +0000 UTC]

nonsense or the world through a man girl's mind? The elegance and fears of one's mind, I enjoy how playful the book is when discribing it all

as for the games, they are terrifying but amazing to watch all the cut scenes and boss fights XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SigmaSkylord In reply to DordtChild [2013-03-12 03:51:05 +0000 UTC]

I see the books as a child looking at the world of adults. So many rules, so many strange behaviors that contradict what they've been taught. So many things that they see as nonsense, like cutting off people's heads at the slightest provocation. But as a child you have the bizarre world that their imagination can dream up. Its quite invigorating if you accept the story and the underlying themes, which many cannot see.

And the games are amazing to see, both the art in the second(because the first came out when the graphics weren't all that good) and the story lines in both are phenomenal. But I prefer the second because of the real meanings that were put in almost everything. Like the books.

And I'm getting into the analytical discussion frame of mind aren't I?

DordtChild In reply to SigmaSkylord [2013-03-12 03:54:08 +0000 UTC]

oh no you're fine.

Yeah, the story in the second one is just superb, however the whole arena style fighting just killed the game for me, but we are not talking about the actual game play now are we? XD

I take the story and art of the second over the first any day, but both stories were awsome. The fighting style of the first was awsome and easy to deal with.

The fact she is returning to Wonderland as an older person makes you question if she ever really left it in the first place

SigmaSkylord In reply to DordtChild [2013-03-12 04:02:43 +0000 UTC]

I think ghat it shows that we are all in our Wonderlands seeing our own versions of the Cat and the Red Queen and whatnot. We all have our whimsical side. Some just embrace it more than others.

In the story of the second, you have Brumby basically stripping the children of their Wonderlands and then carting them off to the highest bidder. And through her own shattered Wonderland, Alice defeated Brumby, in both worlds.

But the fighting in the first had its drawbacks, you had mana and there were lots of weapons. With the second, you had a manageable amount of weapons that you could upgrade. And I agree, the arena style fighting sort of dulled down the excitement a bit, but the monsters were rather interesting to say the least

^_^ Oh I got alot of them. Majority are on lined paper and I don't feel like they are good enough to post, but I jsut sketch out character designs, story boards, different weird situations that King Fimbar, Jock Fireblast, and Vitali go through when they are not on the job

nice i would love to see them, i don't care if the sketch is good or not, thats what sketches are for to work out the lines and help start new ideas as you draw :3 i draw on line paper too XD it always looks funny as the line goes right over there faces, but i use the lines to help me know where the eyes and mouth go XD

hope to see your sketches :3
