i sat and scrolled through my artwork of boris where he was accompanied by other people, mostly my 6 other characters, because connor is still relatively new in terms of being featured in drawings and not just writing,
and i sort of noticed how rare it is for bo to wear vulnerable, honest expressions. i counted maybe 6 out of the now 100+ drawings there is of him in my portfolio, that wasnt a nefarious smirk, a blank expression or some form dismay. and in a way, im glad because he’s supposed to be perceived as experienced, mysterious and very conservative in sharing his emotions.
i think because he spent most of his childhood doing things on his own and being the oldest in the OC friend group (also being a major control freak) he tends to fall into the role of the backbone in any relationship. being the strong, mature and reliable one, keeping people grounded, planning and taking responsibility - rather supervise and plan the fun, than actually being in it.

i know i keep yapping about how special connor is to boris, well. finally, here’s a visual for you to hopefully understand their relation further. still with a large favor for the drivers seat, here’s someone boris trusts behind the wheel for a minute so he can pause and rest. cos everyone needs to be brainless and loud once in a while.
