Ezio is best Assassin. It's amazing to see how he's matured over the course of three games.

I don't know if anyone else pointed this out... but you're missing a critical aspect of Ezio... he doesn't have his ring finger on which ever side his hidden blade is at... therefore, this isn't Ezio... IT'S A FAKE! A SHAM!

If you played the games you'd know da Vinci figured out a way for Ezio to use the blade without having to lose his finger.

To be honest, it's not da Vinci who modofied hidden blade so he didn't need to cut finger off. It was someone before him. From here ([link] at 04:38) you can see that Giovanni does have all 10 fingers left. Witch means that modification was made before he become assassin, or that he become assassin after that part.
At 38:00 of video you can see that in his right hand is all 5 fingers left, and 38:08 shows his left hand: all 5 fingers.
So this means, that modification WAS made before Giovanni become assassin, witch means it was someone else than Leonardo. (because Leonardo wasn't seen it never before). And all Leonardo said was "Though blade once required a sacrifice, it's been modofied" (this video: [link] at 08:51 and so on)
