Totally a game reference too. More places to go in Altair's, longer gameplay (if you include all three) in Ezio's, and ACIII is harder than any of the other games.

Technically speaking Altair's is the largest. His map (though not necessarily all playable ground) is played in two different countries. Thought not by much, the distance between Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus, and Masyaf is a bit farther than New York, Concord, Lexington, Boston, and the native region in ACIII. At least, form what I can tell.
I love Conner's game...it's so interesting.

But by that standard, Ecchi-o's would be the largest hands down, spanning from (not entirely familiar with everything) at least Italy to Far East no~

(I love ACIII as well, it's so goldarn... well, what can I say, it has everything from hunting bunnies to epic naval thingamagoos~ And the Davenport folks are just so adoyabuw~ and you can pet kittied and doggies and--and-- )

I think Ezio's is busiest. I mean, he is a bit of a man whore. (That chick in the beginning of the game, several whores, Katerina Sforza, a couple more whores, brothel house owners, that random italian babe in Constantinople/Istanbul...)
