I just finished the DLC, and because I'm one of those stupid gamers that don't listen to dialogues very carefully, I might have not understood the ending correctly.... for me it looked as if both of them saw all the Sci-Fi effects and just said "... yeah whatever" and went home. Alistair hated me because I had Morrigan in my party for so long. At several points, I ended up threatening to kill several Chantry... because I didn't read the entire options (skipped over the "or else" parts)

I am pretty far with the story and thought...well..okay... you fought some dragonbabies already but why is this game called "dragon age"?

If you're being in-game technical, every 100 years is called something, and at the beginning of that age, dragons ravished the countryside of Orlais. The fact that it's called the Dragon Age is apparently in-game symbolic of there being turmoil, revolution and change.
Or it could just sound cool, I suppose... But there are dragons in it. They're sort of a beeotch to fight...

I fought it... for I have no idea how long, running around using a bunch of potions and in the end I think I beat it with just me and mah mage... *facepalm* I didn't plan it out good.

XD I never had problems with the dragons, except the last one in the Act 3 quest at the Bone Pit, but that was because my combat thing was freaking out and not letting me fight for whatever reason. I want to think "Glitch!" but there's probably just some in-game thing I never noticed.
The Arishok was ridiculous, though. Really just pathetic. I was running around in circles for an hour and a half, I'm dead serious.

XD Sadly I ended up not just facing the Arishok seeing as how no matter how I tried it just put me into the whole: You VS Every Qunari!
Lol even then I beat it fairly quickly... After I found out it was a bad idea to just charge right up to him and let him stab me and wave me around in the air a few times. XDD That was a fun lesson to learn.

If you don't get his respect (Which to get that, all you have to do is go to him and tell him that his diplomats are missing before you find them, then after you find them, not hide the fact that they were tortured, THEN go and talk to him again and tell him point blank "Yeah, they were tortured"), then take Fenris and he'll be all "One-on-one?" And agree to that. You get Fenris-Thinks-You're-Not-That-Big-of-a-Douche points too.
XD Yeah, I learned pretty quick that my frail little girl mage wasn't going to overpower that WALL OF MUSCLE.

LMAO XD yeah. My brother played his cards with giving the artifact to Isabela, so she came back and the Arishok wanted her. He didn't give her up, and thats how he faced him.
As for getting Fenris-thinks-you're-not-that-big-of-a-douche points. XD Only way I have found for him to get you to like you is pretty much just being a flat out douche yourself. 
But yes, your poor mage! XD Thats one of the nice things about the ice/frost sides of the talent tree. Even then, by the time your are done casting something its like: D: Hes coming after me already?! Q.Q

She ditched me. I was sad because I actually liked her. A lot. She was funny, especially with Varric and Anders (Mah party, yo).
Everyone loves my mage, except for Fenris. She's a sarcastic chick with a general good nature and is pro-mage. Varric loves her, Anders loves her, Merrill is neutral/likes her, Isabela liked her (but not enough to stay), Aveline and her are BFFs... And Fenris hates her mage-loving guts. XD

Yeah. You HAVE to have her 50% Friendship/Rivalry Questioning Beliefs if you want to keep her past Act 2. And THEN you have to save her from the Arishok, but you knew that.

Oh man, I was running around cursing the world and then some because I was running out of health potions and my mana was getting lower and lower because each move wastes like ten bajillion mana XD
Mages are awesome in the fact that they can both heal and attack, but goodness gracious it is no fun doing both for yourself! That happened when I met with the Archdemon, did you have problems with that dude?
Though, my boyfriend kicked my butt in the "longest time to slay an enemy" department when he and Arishok got to brawlin'. That was one hell of a battle, though he kept his cool a lot better than I did.

Haha XD I don't remember having issues with the Archdemon... lol its been awhile... so I don't recall, but I don't remember having too many issues with it.
XD the Arishok... First time I face him? Man I was out like a frigging light bulb. Me sitting there after like: Q.Q lol after my first death I took him down fairly simply after that...
The ones I have had the most issues with was that stone thingie majigie at the end of the deep roads expedition. *facepalm* I played my cards right, but for some reason I was having issues beating it. >__> It took a few tries, but eventually I took it down.
XD but like I said, the thing that has given me the most issues was that dang high dragon tho... *facepalm* I am going to dread facing it again. <___< It was such a pain.

Man, I tried that darn fight about eight or ten times on normal and then I had to switch to easy and I was STILL having issues with him. Well it was less him and more his rape-tastic mob of hoes. I ended up being like "If I don't beat him tonight, I'm just going to play my human warrior and try this in the morning." After saying that to myself, I kicked his butt no problem. Next time I am getting a ton of mana and health potions because I was nearly dead.
I absolutely love the mage because I never ever ever play them, but the warrior is a lot of fun too, I like being a huge beasty and just pummeling everything in my path.
My boyfriend ran around the room with Arishok close on his heels trying to stab him every two seconds. At one point I turned around and saw the Arishok trip and it looked hilarious cause it looked like he tripped on the rug. I rofl'd pretty hard.
Man, the high dragon was unnecessarily difficult, but I loved fighting it none the less.

You know- it's an easy way to fight a dragon, but its cheap. You can actually just make it follow one of your characters as you run away. The dragon (for some reason) is unable to catch you and you can have the other team members in you party kill it....

Really? How do you make them attack it? When I ran away, they too ran like little pansies.
I used the big harpoon catapult thingies to kill him and did not even bother with my team mates after the bajillionth time I died.

I just let my ranged people attack it as I went in a circle. The rogues and warriors did try to run too, though, when I did.

Ooh, that makes a lot of sense. I only had myself and Wynne in the party I think, Sten and Alistair were the other two I had. Did you also have a lot of help from the Humans/Dwarves/Mages?

XD I know! Do you watch the artists Aimo? She has a comic up of her mage running away from Arishok, but not of him tripping. She also made me giggle because she called Fenris a "Magical fisting elf" or something like that, I about died the first time I read that.
The fighting in the second game is so neat, I loved watching Hawke flip around his freaking two handed sword with the huge hilt and even longer blade. -nerdgasm- XD
Maybe when I get to fighting him, I will sketch him tripping and Hawke dying... Of laughter!

I feel that way too, like you did the hard work--in most cases--so why not plow through and enjoy utter decimation? Though I do agree with the nightmare mode, then EVERYTHING on normal would feel so easy I bet. And Casual would be more than simple, it would be the biggest piece of cake, a strawberry icecream covered brownie cake.
My boyfriend tried to get out of fighting Arishok and ended up having to fight using his whole team and they were just destroyed; head on a silver platter style and all, it was kind of sad.
Then he just went with sticking up for her and then the single battle ensued. Though maybe there is a way to get out of it, however I don't think so.
Hahaha, he is pretty funny with the things he says and how he says them, it made me sad when he was picking on poor Merril though, she seemed like such a sweet and cute character. I wish that they would make it into a movie or something too--it has the grounds to be a stunning movie. XD And Gerard Butler can be Hawke! And... If We could tan Joseph Gordon Levitt up some, he could be Fenris! XD

XD when it comes to games being turned into movies I would rather see Halo tho... Because with a game like this one of the nice things is just the freedom of choice and the outcomes... A movie would be nice, and I do agree that it probably wouldn't satisfy all of the fans of DA, unfortunately. XD. BUT it would still be really neat to see someone's take on such a great game, and at the same time it would be scary to see how badly they butcher it. That prince of Persia movie was pretty good actually, random I know. XD
Halo was supposed to be made into a movie, but it flopped and I don't really know the reason why it did.

I don't remember why it flopped, my man says it is because they couldn't get enough funding. Pfft, as though Bungie couldn't supply them with the money, but eh I don't think they could make it a good enough movie just yet. Not unless James Cameron used his Avatar stuff to do it.

Pretty much I made good old #12/Hawkshaw when I was trying to come up with some sort of awesome story. She has black hair, bright blue eyes... annnnnd I don't know what else to say. Pretty much I made her a tough cookie because of the whole post apocalyptic feel, and I don't know if she would be a mercenary of what... :3 but yeah... Sadly I haven't given her much thought recently, and any thoughts I had on her kinda went out the window....

I like post-apocalyptic, sort of like grungy everything is makeshift and dusty?
This isn't something I usually do so I am excited to try something new.
The braids are a little bit past her butt, but when the hood is up there is either an option for it to dangle down her back, or it is wrapped around her neck and gathered in the back of the hood.(Probably isn't too possible, the hair might make the hood fall xD) XD It is one thick braid usually but you can have free reign with that.
She does look like she's a total badass, and like she needs a leather jacket; that is a must in Post-Apocalyptic times. XD Hawkshaw, I like that name a lot. Is her hair a jet black or raven black? And are her eyes light blue or dark blue?
